Born and raised in Mexico City, Noel moved to Stamford, CT at the age of 11. Noel started traveling after high school and has since been to 29 countries. He speaks four languages. Noel has an associates degree in marketing and business administration. He also received a BS in outdoor recreation from West Virginia University, where he met Lucy. Noel has his hundred ton boating license.
Noel moved to Saint Thomas in 2013 because he wanted to retire. Past favorite work experiences include working with the Boy Scouts of America as a High Ropes Course Director and with NASA Space Camp as an Outdoor Recreation Leader.
Originally hailing from southern New Jersey, Lucy has been enjoying island life since 2014. Like Noel, Lucy is an alumni of West Virginia University. Let's go, Mountaineers! She graduated in 2014 with a BSJ in Public Relations and a BA in Spanish. While in college, Lucy's research contributions to an animal rights campaign won her the Crystal Award for Best Research Entry by the West Virginia Public Relations Society of America. Lucy's memorable work experiences include teaching English to children in Spain and being the activities director for a locally owned resort in St. Thomas.
Lucy enjoys being outside in nature, vegetarian cooking, traveling and - as she would tell the children at the program - "quiet brain activities."
